We love Sundays here at FPC. Sunday mornings we have Children’s Church and Sunday School, followed by our worship service in the Main Sanctuary at 10:45 am where we worship together and hear a word from the Lord. Sunday nights we get together again at 6:00 pm and the FPC Choir leads us in worship.

What kind of church is FPC Anderson?

FPC Anderson is an Apostolic Pentecostal church. We are Apostolic by doctrine, meaning we follow the teachings set forth by the Apostles of Jesus in the book of Acts. We are Pentecostal by experience, just like the early church!

What is there for my children?

We have exciting and engaging Sunday School classes with passionate teachers and yummy snacks. Every Sunday, Children’s Church gives our children the opportunity to greet, lead worship, and learn how to run a service on their own. Regardless of when you come, your kids will always be in a fun environment where they will learn and make lifelong friends.

Creative Team

The FPC Creative Team captures and expresses the authentic Apostolic atmosphere of FPC Anderson for members and guests both during service and throughout the week. 

This team is responsible for creating the auditory and visual experience during services, capturing that experience, and translating it through physical and digital mediums throughout the week. 

The work of the creative team allows us to compel new individuals to experience FPC, gives our ministries an outlet to further their mission, and supports the vision of our Pastor through media, sound, and production.

First Impression Team

The First Impression Team matters because people matter. If people return, they will continue to hear that they matter to God, that they have hope in Jesus. Unfortunately, if the parking lot is chaotic, if the facility is unkempt, if the people are unfriendly or closed to new people—our guests’ first impression will be anything but positive. 

Of all the steps that can be taken to create a warm and personable welcome—easy to find parking spaces, clear signage, clean restrooms, quality coffee, or creative children’s rooms—none are more important than the people who create the welcome. People create atmosphere. People form a culture that says, “You’re welcome here.” People communicate “You matter to God.”

It is the directive of the First Impression Team to communicate this message clearly and completely in the first seven minutes—starting the moment a guest pulls into our parking lot. In the first seven minutes of contact, our first-time guests will decide whether or not they plan to return. From the moment of their arrival, the subconscious is hard at work taking note of the atmosphere and people’s friendliness on a rudimentary level. Before a single worship song is sung and before a single word of the message is preached the guest knows if they want to come back next week. A closed and anxious vessel will not be open or receptive to the power of God attempting to work transformation.

There are four initial areas of contact which we can influence our guests’ first impression during the pre-service—through controlling how they are greeted, directed, treated, and seated.

Through proper greeting, directing, treating, and seating we can turn a first-time guest into a second-time guest. Turn a second-time guest into a regular attender. And finally, turn a regular attender into a fully developing member.

We must always remember in everything we do that the more prepared to receive guests we are, the more guests, or “gifts”, God will send us. The First Impression Team Matters because people matter.

Operations Teams

One of the highest ranking and most frequently recurring reasons first-time visitors don’t return is dirty bathrooms. What a shame to let a lost soul miss out on their opportunity to connect with the one true God who gave his life for them simply because they decided they wouldn’t return due to poorly maintained facilities before ever making it into the sanctuary. 

The FPC Operations Team protects our image and prevents unnecessary losses so our ministerial teams can fully operate in their giftings and have an open and willing vessel to receive.

Worship Team

“O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together” (Psalm 34:3). 

In this one simple verse, David has given us three distinct purposes of worship ministry. The three purposes are to magnify the Lord, develop worship leaders, and develop worshippers. 

David said, “O magnify the Lord with me”. “Me” represents those involved with the worship ministry, who are helping lead praise during worship services. We can’t ask people to go where we’re not willing or able to go ourselves. David didn’t want to be the only one experiencing true worship of our holy God, and neither should we.
